| Indications:
SAT
stands for Silybum marianum
(milk thistle), Artichoke (Cynara
scolymus) and Turmeric (Curcuma
longa). These three herbs are an excellent combination to Prevent
and to Treat Liver
disease. The antioxidant capability of milk thistle
helps heal liver cell membranes and helps maintain liver antioxidants
such as glutathione. Curcuma inhibits liver inflammation (it inhibits
lipoxygenase, thus reducing the production of pro-inflammatory leukotrienes).
Artichoke supports liver regeneration and is a protectant against
a variety of liver toxins.
The combination
of these herbs act synergistically on the liver and may help many
types of liver disorders. This product may also help prevent liver
disorders in animals taking drugs that have the potential to produce
liver disease. A good example of this is the use of phenobarbitol
to control seizures. Giving SAT while on phenobarbitol may decrease
the incidence of liver disease.

Dogs
(place in food

1-20 lbs=1/4 to
1/2 capsule twice daily
20-50 lbs=1-2 capsules

50-100+ lbs=3 capsules

Cats
1/4 capsule twice
daily, placed into food
Birds
(it's best to place SAT into a small amount of soft, tasty food the bird
will eat completely):
Small birds (under
100 grams): a “pinch” twice daily
Medium sized birds
(100 to 250 grams): 1/16 capsule twice daily
Large bird (250-600
grams): 1/8 capsule twice daily
Very large birds
(greater than 600 grams): 1/4 capsule twice daily
